so this is christmas. (is it, really?)

I can't believe this year's been going on so fast it still feels like it was yesterday I was celebrating the years' eve. I know I've been slacking the whole 'blogosphere' for such a long time and it's mostly because I rarely get any comments, which is so disappointing and I put the blame on me for it, as I don't really go out and leave other people's blogs a comment.

Okay, my Christmas was so sad this year... mostly because my parents and I are going thru some really rough (financial) times, the place my dad works on is calling it and they will prob shut down by the end of january, my dad wasn't even paid for the month of december. We are actually planning on moving out of our current city to my dad's hometown, as he asked his brother for a little help and we are mainly waiting for the phone call to get things done for good.

Anyway, if anyone's reading this I wish a very Merry Christmas and all good things to be multiplied by 100 this next year, let's all hope for the best! As Shaman King once taught me: Para tudo nessa a vida se dá um jeito. ˆ-ˆ

Dexter's upcoming closure: 'Talk to the Hand'

Let's start off with some comments on the whole thing: this season of Dexter is finally warming up, despite from having the potential to be an iconic season where Dexter gets in touch with his inner beliefs, if he has any (we'd never know). We've been struggling across a different side of Dexter, being emotional and not sticking to everything his father taught him, even though the writers had planned this amazing turn of events where we'd find out the fearless Dr. Gellar was only Travis' "dark passenger" as Dexter himself calls it, along the way it became quite evidential that Gellar was only a projection of Travis twisted mind and by the time Dexter realized it, there was already millions of people aware of it.

Quinn's being a total dumbass since Debra's rejection, he almost turned into a disposable character, despite Batista's comedy moments along with him there was nothing there, we all get dismissed at some point and we just don't get that fucked up, he's just being juvenile. Debra becoming lieutenant was an interesting turn of events, it actually brings us closer to a point where she might eventually have to deal with the truth about Dexter, which leads us to the point of her shrink confronting her about her feelings for her brother, I must say it wasn't a surprise at all. I don't really have an opinion on that as it seems way too disturbing and something it'd never happen. At least I hope so.

What about the geek intern? I'm still very curious about what exactly his intentions are when dating Batista's sister, showing himself to be quite a fan of Dexter. What is he planning by sending Dexter the "lost hand" from the Ice Truck Killer's case? What does those drawing mean? I sure hope so that all my answers get vanished on the season finale, even though I've got a feeling they will leave this for next season since the show was renewed for 2 more.

Wormwood turned out to be a failure, thanks to the amazing stalkerness skill Dexter has, he was able to capture the girl before she could cause any warm to Debra or anyone else, which was great but Dex accidentally swallowed some smoke, leaving him with some side effects like nosebleeds and dizziness. Being advised to go to the E.R and refusing to (as we'd expect), he went on taking care of things his way and once more getting two steps ahead of Miami Metro, he managed to get Travis attention by using a tableau and a video, telling where they'd meet to take care of things once and for all.

Being completely damaged by the whole Wormwood thing, Dexter got himself trapped in a boat while Travis prepared things to the awaited Lake of Fire event, which had Dexter as the main victim... of course our anti-hero was able to scape with only a few injuries. What will happen next? Travis painting was really disturbing, will Devil Dexter be seen by MM Police? We took a glimpse at the finale and Dexter's will definitely get in there to check for himself. Will Dexter lose another loved one at this finale? Will anyone find out about his dark passenger? I predict a lot of things happening and I can only wait for this episode to be the best out of the whole season.

A Christmas Wish

As of 2007, it's  always been a dream to buy an iPhone just for the sake of having the best phone in the market, one of the things that makes me love this phone is that it shows us that you don't need to have the ultimate processor and/or the top of the line just-recently-launched hardware, instead it teach us that with the right balance of what's inside you can achieve A-MAZING results.

Being the owner of an iPod Touch since it was first announced, I've definitely have my own personal favourite apps and maybe I'd get back here someday to talk about 'em. The thing is, the iPhone has been on my "insert any holiday here"'s wish list, unfortunately it costs over USD$1000 for the cheaper model in Brazil (we pay so many freaking taxes, it's just absurd) plus the mobile plans are way over the top, there's still a long way to go for Brazil to even be compared to United States/United Kingdom.

This is my cousin's iPhone btw :P
I'm unemployed and my parents are going thru rough times (financially), so my dream gift will remain on my wish list for a while, the bright side of this is: whenever I get my own, it will be way better than the current! :P We all know how Apple loves to make you feel obsolete for having a last season's iPhone, LoL.

Your words are like knives

I've been really into City and Colour lately, which is the reason behind my url (in case you're were wondering), I've been also feeling somewhat unwanted on my other blog... like I don't belong there anymore, so this is why I'm [once again] changing blogs and I truly believe I'm sticking with this one for a while.

Nothing has really happened, therefore, there's isn't much to talk about. This is just a lame intro post of some sort. So here's some extractions of my photo-diary a.k.a Insta.gram:

I'm a Pokémon buff and being from the Nintendo 64's generation, I totally worship cartoons such as Hey Arnold!, Rugrats, Johnny Bravo, Digimon, Dragon Ball, Zodiac Knights and also tv series like Dexter, Homeland, Game of Thrones, How I Met Your Mother, Modern Family, The Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men, Bones, Seinfeld, F.R.I.E.N.D.S, Skins, Misfits and the usual dirty realities.

As a matter of fact this blog would probably be filled with opinions of the currently airing series and their latest episodes (I'm being serious on the whole "nothing's going on with my life" thing).

If the subject is music, you probably have an idea of what I like to hear judging by the url and title of my blog, I'm a huge fan of indie music, slow core, sad core or whatever you wanna call it. It just fits my mood quite perfectly, as if you haven't noticed yet, being a loner didn't exactly made me a cheerful person. I'm not sad, I just don't enjoy those super funky songs and stuff. I do listen to mainstream music though, I also love jazz and blues, which involuntarily separates me from 80% of human kind.

I love to read and unfortunately I haven't had the opportunity to read a lot by the past few years (books are more expensive in Brazil and I'm unemployed, so, 1+1=2). I'm currently reading Steve Jobs biography and the second book of the Game of Thrones' series.

I spent my whole free time on twitter on a daily basis, you can also find me on tumblr, a place for inspiration photographs and quotations from favourite movies.
